Email, is a so familiar word to our ears and to all people who use the Internet. Anyway, I suppose there are a few people that don’t know yet about it, perhaps. So, I hope this article would be useful and would become something that can add the insight about email.
What is meant by Email?
Email is a short for Electronic Mail. With Email, you can send a letter or message to other people, but there is no peace of paper used to write, but it’s in the form of digital data sent via internet.
How important do we own Email?
In this digital era, owning an email is something very important even a must. Moreover, you often surf on the web or do an activity on the internet where many internet services require you to own email. Say, you want to register to Facebook, Twitter, to create blog in blogger, wordpress, or even for online shopping.
Not only that, email is often used to apply for a job as most big companies now apply the email-based recruitment. So, if you don’t want to run after the others or don’t want to be out of date, please own an email.
What are the advantages of email compared with regular letter?
One of the salient advantages of email is the very fast sending process. The message or letter through email will be sent within seconds for a very far distance, across the city, province, country, and worldwide.
Is it free or paid if we create an email?
To create an email, you can get it for free or with a payment, based on your needs because both free and paid email account have advantages and disadvantages. Most big companies have their own email address to be given to their employees or those who are site administrators also have their own email address, which require a payment.
If you are an individual that does not want to spend an amount of money to own an email, you can get it for free form free email providers, e.g.:

- Hotmail
So, which one is your choice, free or paid email? Based on the needs, as paid email is considered more professional and it can support the brand image that a company brings. While for personal, free email is enough.
Several terms related to Email
In Email, there are many terms used and you had better know about them.
WebMail
WebMail is a web-based email or a site of email provider that provides email service through their website, which can be accessed only through Internet browsers. Free WebMails are:

- Hotmail
Email Address
Email address is the address or ID that is unique for every email. One email address can be owned by only one user. Example:
Aing_tea2011@yahoo.com
Inbox
Inbox is the place to/in where emails go/come. All incoming emails are in Inbox or Inbox Folder.
Outbox
Outbox is the place from where emails (our emails) go. All outgoing emails are in Outbox or Outbox Folder, so you can know all emails you have sent.
CC and BCC
CC (Carbon copy) and Bcc (Blind Carbon Copy) are the carbon copy emails. CC or BCC is often done when there is more than one recipient.
Email Client
Email Client is a tool or software that is considered making easier to manage emails offline (not connected to the Internet). With client software, you can download automatically all emails from webmails to your computer so you can manage them although you are offline.

- Windows Live mail
- And more
There are also internet browsers that have been integrated with email clients such as Opera.
Email Spam
Email Spam or also called junk email is an email containing harmful or unwanted or rules-breaking email, e.g. emails with advertisements that come more frequently than average so that disturbing the recipients’ convenience.
Email Spam is usually sent by a strange person in abundant.
Phishing Email
Phishing email is fraudulent email, which is often sent by those who confess as a certain party or company or whatever to ensure you while they want to steal your identity. Example of phishing email is an email said coming from a bank and they include a link. The link if clicked will require you to fill in your identity so they can easily steal it from you.
Hoaxes Email
Hoaxes email is email giving the untrue news about something, usually, to build public opinion about something untrue.
